A beautiful stunning piece of Garth Williams original alternate final unused artwork for THE LITTLE GIANT GIRL AND THE ELF BOY. The art is rendered in pen and ink on light card stock/heavy paper. A fantastic illustration of the mother at the top of the stairs in the girls bedroom. The piece is signed by Garth Williams in full signature lower right.

CONDITION:
Pen And Ink on paper, size of 11.5″ X 8.5″. The art is clean and in excellent condition. Not framed. Signed by Garth Williams lower right of the art.

PROVENANCE:
This piece came from an auction house that is commissioned to sell the artwork direct from the estate of Garth Williams. Paper work stating such will be included with the purchase along with a copy of the invoice.

The art is in excellent condition and would be stunning framed.

**Garth Williams was a prominent illustrator of several of the most prominent children’s books including Stuart Little (1945), Charolette’s Web (1952), The Cricket In Times Square, and The Rescuers (1959). Many of his original illustrations from these book have sold attaining high premiums, including his original illustration of the dust jacket for Charolette’s Web which realized $155,000 at auction in 2010, and between $10,000 and $45,000 for original artwork of the interior pages. Other notable auction pricing of Williams original illustrations include sales of the original artwork for the interior pages of Stuart Little which also averaged in the $15,000 range per piece.
