First edition book demonstrated by the statement “FIRST PRINTING” on the copyright page as required for this title. First state jacket demonstrated by having Mayzie on the front panel and the original price of $1.50 on the inside flaps.

First edition points for the jacket are: Front flap has 5 paragraphs of text followed by the code 60-90, with the price on the inner flap of $1.50. The Rear Flap has the blurb about THE KINGS STILTS, and the rear Cover has Here’s What The Children Say!, followed by 10 testimonials, and the $1.50 on the rear inside flap. Beautiful, clean crisp unrestored book. The book has clean, bright pebbled grey boards with bright red titles to the front. The boards have sharp corners with no edgewear. The binding is tight and square. The end papers are clean, with the typical age toning as usually found with this title, otherwise and no scribbles, no inscriptions, no bookplates, no owner names and no bookstore stamps. The internal pages are clean, with some slight light toning, otherwise with no handling marks, no stains, no foxing, no writing, no scribbles and no stains. An usually clean children’s book! The jacket has is overall bright with no chips, no rips, no stains, no foxing and no edgewear.
