The book is beautiful condition with crisp, bright light green cloth boards with bright red titles to spine. The boards have sharp corners, and no edgewear. The green cloth is clean with a some of the common fading and toning to cloth along spine and outer edges. The binding is tight and square. Red top stain applied by publisher. The end papers are clean with a few dots of foxing, otherwise no owner names, no inscriptions, and no bookplates. The internal pages are clean, bright and flat with a dot of foxing to the first and last page, otherwise no writing, no stains, no handling marks, no writing, no foxing and no bent pages. Beautiful crisp book, internally appearing as unread!
The rare original green dust jacket has benefited from some very slight restoration by an expert paper conservator and as such presents as a near fine/fine stunning example. The Nineteen Eighty Four jacket is known to be extremely fragile, and usually in pieces or missing altogether.
