Brian Froud an English fantasy illustrator and conceptual designer, is most widely known for his 1978 book Faeries with Alan Lee, and as the conceptual designer of the Jim Henson films The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. According to Wired, Froud is “one of the most pre-emiminent visualizers of the world of faerie and folktale”. But before Froud became world renown for his highly recognizable Fairy Illustrations (which sell in the $10,000 and up range).
An extremely scarce, adorable faerie sketch by Brian Froud. The few original faerie drawings by Froud tend to be more full page but also much more costly. This fantastic piece is perfect for the lover of his superb folklore drawings and would like an original sketch at a more down to earth price.
