The book is in fine/near fine condition with deep red cloth boards, with bright unfaded gilt titles to the spine. The crisp book has sharp corners with one slightly pushed, and no edgewear. The binding is very tight and square. Stephen King boldly signed and dated the book with a large signature on the title page with “Stephen King/ 9/12/79”. The interior pages are clean, bright and flat with no marks, no foxing, no stains and no age toning to the pages. Beautiful condition book internally appearing as unread. The P6 code is in the gutter on page 199. Please see images.

The unrestored original dust jacket is in fine/near fine condition but one area to the upper right corner with a small intact tear, otherwise the jacket has strong vibrant colors with a bit of toning to the rear panel, but with no other nicks, no chips, no edgewear, no rips, no stains and no fading. The dust jacket is NOT price clipped and has a stated price of $5.95
An extraordinary copy of this title in fine/near fine, clean, crisp condition with a large, bold, early signature in black ink. The authors much sought after first book and of course the source book for film of the same name. Would make a wonderful special gift for a Stephen King collector.
