A very early, Very Good hardcover with the original red cloth covered boards with some slight mottling and discoloration. Finely recased with a new full morocco spine with raised bands and gilt designs. Mini-leather corner tip accents. (please see images for details). All Edges in full gilt. The book still has the original dark slate blue end papers, with a partially illegible name to the blank verso of the front end paper (“… East Gate / Warwick”). The binding is tight, square and quite readable.
All pages and illustrations are present and are overall clean with some occasional scattered faded smudging/handling marks otherwise no bent pages, no tears, and no writing.
