However the Boston fire destroyed all but an estimated 50 copies of this printing so the 1873 Geo Smith printing is considered the next true first edition (or some refer to as the second printing of the first edition of this book), printed by Geo. M. Smith & Company 1873. Fully illustrated with 110 illustrations, 303 pages.
