In the later states of this book, the “50 Word Vocabulary” advertisement was printed directly onto the jacket.
The book has crisp glossy orange boards in beautiful condition for this title which is often found with scribbles, writing, ruined spines and other issues that revolve around first edition children’s books. This copy has bright glossy boards with strong vibrant colors with no edgewear. The boards are clean with no fading, and no rips. The end papers are unusually clean for a children’s book and have no writing, no bookplates and no inscriptions with but a faint bit of slight faded foxing to the rear end paper. The interior pages are crisp, clean, stiff and bright with no writing, no stains, no handling marks, and no foxing. Beautiful bright copy of a children’s book in hard to find clean condition.
The original first edition dust jacket had only slight restoration, and as such jacket has strong vibrant colors and presents in near fine condition with but faint grubbiness to the rear panel. The dust jacket is NOT priced clipped and has the stated price of 195/195 on the inside front flap. Requisite “50 WORD VOCABULARY” sticker to front panel.
