Thompson was an American journalist and author, and the founder of the gonzo journalism movement, a style of writing that blurs distinctions between fiction and nonfiction. The book is equally famous of the highly detailed crazed illustrations by Ralph Steadman. This stunning example has an extremely rare full page original painting/drawing by Steadman. The book is housed in a custom red cloth clamshell.
