The book is in near fine condition with light green cloth boards with red titles to the spine. The boards have sharp corners, with one slightly rounded, and a tight binding with no edgewear. Slight fading to the spine cloth, not affecting the strong vibrant titles. The end papers are in clean condition with no owner names, no bookplates and no inscriptions. The preferred scarce red variant original dust jacket has benefited from very slight restoration by an expert paper conservator to the outer spine tips, and as such presents in near fine condition. The Nineteen Eighty-Four jacket is known to be extremely fragile, and usually in pieces or missing altogether. This jacket has strong vibrant colors with the typical fading of the spine to a grey tone. The rear panel has a small stain spot, otherwise the jacket has no chips, no edgewear, no stains, no fading, no rubbing and no foxing.
