Stated First Edition, First Printing Lovely fine/near fine clean book with the scarce near fine FIRST printing dust jacket. First book in the Narnia fantasy series. This title is extremely difficult to locate in great condition!
The book is in fine/near fine beautiful condition with light blueish/green cloth boards, with only some of the typical toning to the cloth along the spine. Silver titles to spine. The book has sharp corners and no edgewear. The binding is tight and square. The end papers are clean with No inscriptions, No bookplates, and No owner names. The internal pages are very clean and are remarkably crisp, bright and flat, with No tears, No bent pages, No handling marks, No stains, no foxing and No writing. Beautiful, clean highly collectible example of this title, internally appearing as unread. Please see images.
The very scarce original first edition, first printing dust jacket has benefited from some very slight restoration to the very outer spine/corner tips by an expert paper conservator and as such presents in near fine condition. The jacket remains bright and has strong vibrant colors with some of the common toning to the light grey background. The jacket has no rips, no chips, and no foxing.
