A spot of slight soiling/toning to the cloth to lower front board edge. Yellow top stain applied by publisher to top of page block. The end papers have No owner names, No inscriptions, and No bookplates. The internal pages are clean, bright and flat with No handling marks, No stains, No foxing and No bent pages. The original first edition jacket has benefited from some very slight restoration to the outer spine tips by an expert conservator and as such presents in fine/near fine condition. The Man in the High Castle is an alternative history novel by Philip K. Dick, first published in 1962, which imagines a world in which the Axis Powers won World War II. The story occurs in 1962, fifteen years after the end of the war in 1947, and depicts the life of several characters living under Imperial Japan or Nazi Germany as they rule a partitioned United States.
